宝贝，妈妈对不起！

那件事虽然过去很多天了，但每每想起来，我心里还是深深地感到难过。

那天晚上，当给凌子洗完澡后，我抱她到床上穿衣服，可她却光着身子在床上滚来滚去，不情愿穿。当我硬是把她的胳膊拿进衣服袖子里时，她突然发出一声刺耳的尖叫，声音短而迅速。叫完之后，她还拿眼睛看着我，似乎是不满，又好像在等着我的评判。我当下就火了。

自从凌子在未满周岁的时候就开始爱尖叫以来，我采取了多种方法制止她的尖叫。最初我跟她讲道理，可越讲她越叫得大声；继之我又对她的尖叫不加理睬，这种方法虽然能起到一点作用，但作用不大；最后，我拿出了最不愿用的方法，就是吼她，并说如再尖叫就要打她，并真的在她的小屁股上打了两下。这种方法只用了一次，凌子就不再尖叫了。算起来，我已经有一个多月没有听到凌子的尖叫了，这对于尖叫频繁的凌子来说，已经很不容易，我以为凌子的尖叫已经彻底地治好了。没有想到，在国庆前夕，凌子又开始尖叫起来。而我最痛恨的就是听到这种声音。你说，我能不火吗？

我决定非给凌子一点厉害不可。我当下就朝凌子的嘴巴打了两巴掌，边打边气愤地说：“我看你还叫！还叫不叫？你还叫不叫？”

凌子低着头，我看见有一丝委屈从凌子的脸上掠过，这是她开始瘪嘴哭的前兆。我等待着她放声大哭。可是她并没有。我还不解气，扬起手朝着她的小屁股又打了两下。她还是没哭。

仅仅是几秒钟的委屈，凌子很快就朝我嫣然一笑，尤其是她当时在那件小碎花的棉布衣服的衬托下显得越发令人爱怜。我一下子紧紧抱着凌子，亲吻着她，似乎要给她加倍的爱，来温暖刚才冰冷的场面和她那颗幼小的心。

凌子很快就忘记了刚才的一切，她又像往常一样开始和我疯起来，她偷偷看一眼我，然后在我看她的时候她慌忙往后躲，继尔哈哈大笑。我心不在焉地和她疯着，脑子里却交替地出现我打凌子嘴巴的场面和妈妈讽刺我的那些言语。

记得以前，当我作为女儿的时候，每次妈妈吵我，我若是受了委屈哭得很伤心的时候，妈妈不是站在我的立场去想一想我既然哭得那么伤心，说明有些话一定是说重了，说得不合适，反而越发讽刺我，挖苦我。 每当那种时候，我心里就暗暗地想：“将来我一定不会对我的孩子这样的。我要站在她的立场上去看她，我要和她成为朋友！”

而现在，那两巴掌嘴巴就好像妈妈在讽刺我，挖苦我，我为自己的行为深深地感到难过......

Read the paragraph 4 to 5. in the paragraph 4. There is a sentence “how it fits into the corporate strategy”. But what does the “how it fits” mean? At the front of it, the author says: “they want to know that their work is important”, so behind the word “and”, of course the author want to say they want to know something. And read the whole paragraph, you will know the author means that today’s workers want to be a valued part of the whole. And in this sentence, just “how it fits into” difficult for me. First we must solve what does the word “it” mean? According to the front sentence, I know the author use the word “it” instead of the words “workers’ job”. Now, I know a little meaning of this sentence. I guessed the author want to say the workers want to know their job at what status in corporate strategy.

And the paragraph 5, it’s a little longer than paragraph 4. And this paragraph almost talks about the Compaq. And talk about how the Compaq to handle its workers. But there is one sentence is the most difficult for me to understand. It is “in many companies an atmosphere of constant push would inspire people to seek employment with less pressure somewhere else.” There are too many new words, so I can’t understand. After I look over the dictionary, I know. But what does the word “push” mean? Read behind sentence, maybe it means big pressure.
