I.I think the sentence that they are on to something important has two meanings. First, the cold and unresponsive of the world that leads to indifference between people. Most people want to be noticed by others and find a stage to share their experience and idear. Therefore, they put their thinking and emotion into these uplifting words, hoping that they can find a relief from it. It is these that make them so important and popular. Second, facing the fierce competition and suffering a lot form great pressure, most people are disappointed about their future and at a loss. So they need incentive and motivator to encourage them which give rise to the growing popularity of some boosting words.Consequently, the power of the words is very significant and a good writer should possess the ability.
II.1. I am not exactly sure what the sentence meaning is, but perhaps it reflects the power of words. Because his payment is very low which can not support him, but it is the Don’s note that inspires him and lifts his spirit. So it is used to put emphasis to the power of a note. 2. It means that the frequency of the letter being read and the importance it plays in author’s life. We can see it from the phrase rag-eared. 3. I think good writers are those who can evoke people’s passion and lift their spirits, giving a sense of appreciation.  So the right stuff to be a write are a positive attitude towards life, a good perspective of the world and society and powerful words which can help people going out their troublesome and find some meaningful and valuable things in their lives.
III.1. The author tell us his payment in order to explain that his payment is low and he will lose his confidence. (Tell should be written tells) 2. He want to tell us this letter is very important to him, when he was in low point, the letter incentives him and spirit-lifting him. (Want-wants. point-spirits, incentive can not be used verb, so I will change it for evoke and spirit-lifting should be canceled.) 3. I think a good writer should have a good ideological and have his own opinion about affairs of human life. The article he write should spontaneous and poetic.

I felt very sorry to delay finishing your assignment due to I have been preparing for IELTS. But I know it was not an excuse for postponing, so I just want you to forgive me this time and I will never let this kind of thing occur again. IV.Most students will be asked to take notes in each of classes because it can bring some benefits to students . It can make students understood about the course clearly and review the content more efficiently. In this passage, it told us a story regarding the author’s experience about the influence of writing a note. It compared the differences between phoning calls and writing a note. As to drawback of phoning calls, is that they don’t last. However, a note attaches more importance to our well-wishing. Not only does it boost people’s spirit, but also can last. When the author felt disappointed or was at a loss, she would reread the letter signed by Don Wolfe, saying that a nice piece of writing on the Tigers. Keep up the good work. His words couldn’t have been more inspiring and warmed her hearts. What’s more, even top corporate managers motivate people who work for them with notes. What is a note? A note should include four S: sincere, short, specific and spontaneous. To sum up, the power of a note is that it making others feel good about themselves which can make yourself feel good too.
V.I am interested in English and spend most of time in it. However, even though I dedicated myself to the study, the job I have done still in vain. What it is that make contribute to this phenomenon, from my point of view, I reckon it is the way of learning .As to the biggest problems in my study, they are listening and speaking. As we all know, both of them are language output. Although I stuffed a lot of knowledge and information into my mind, yet the gain I obtained was very little. It was because I have not taken hold of the key to successfully learning that made my study so inefficient. In order to alter the condition, some changes will take place in my resent study. To begin with, I should seize every chance to practice my oral English, to recite some wonderful essays and put much attention to the things happen around the world. Because these methods not only will help me to think logically and actively, but also show my concerns about others. Then I will arrange a certain time to do some listening materials and to see some films and imitate the pronunciation which can contribute to my success in expression. So I hope I can make some progress in it through my hard working.

I have written 8 passages ( 1429 words in length ).
I detected 5grammatical errors, while my partner helped find 8 errors. {one grammatical error online posting on the reading process writing; zero grammatical error online discussion on the topic assigned by the teacher, three grammatical errors on online chatting, two grammatical errors online feedback given to other’s writing and two comments to other’s feedback }. I regret to say that though my partner is very good, I don’t think he is of much help to my grammar. In future I will pay more attention to my grammar by reading more grammar instructions and doing as many grammar drills as possible and asking for help from the teacher and other competent friends. I think my plan to improve my grammar is workable because I have been trying it for many years. I like to make sentences with my newly-learnt grammar. I also recite some nice passages and analyze the grammar which can help me understand it deeply. On the whole I don’t know if I am satisfied with my grammar. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being near maximal satisfactory with my efforts on grammar, I would like to give my learning of English grammar a 7.
