The story indeed is extremely astonishing and interesting but it also enlighten me. When we are trap in troubles or suffer from difficulties, don’t nervous and panic. Please keep clam, using your wisdom to get rid of difficult position. It has been proven countless times that wisdom can create miracle and make everything is possible. Facing to the robber, Michael Rabdau and his family didn’t lose control, they also didn’t scream or run. After freezing for a while, "Why don't you have a glass of wine with us?" "Damn, that's good wine”, they used the two sentences ease up the intense atmosphere and managed to solve the problem. I have to say it is wisdom.
Besides, I think it is the power of tolerance and friendliness. In my view, the robber must have felt shocked at that time he received invitation from the people he wanted to rob. The family didn’t treat him as a evil-doer but treat him as a friend. He gained the respect and he felt he was a common people in front of the family. The family use their special way let the robber realize his behavior is wrong, use their hug warm the robber’s heart. They also change their fate. Sometimes, your sincere attitude and your friendly hug is a good way to get rid of embarrassment.

From the example “the surprised person who got a warm pat on the back for lending Bush an umbrella”, we can know the essence of writing the notes. From “surprised”, we also can know “lend an umbrella” is a very tiny thing, maybe the person have forgot it, but to his surprise, he receive a letter from Bush .So in my view any tiny thing can become the reason of  which we express our appreciation. It is not that time when the others do great help for us or they gain great success, we remember to write a note which is full of complimentary and uplifting phrases. When we observe the life and people around us carefully and with heart, we will find that we can show our appreciation anywhere and anytime. And we can deliver the notes to anyone, not only to people we recognize, but to casual strangers who need our inspiration and admiration. With a warm and knowing gratitude heart, our life will be full of love and reassurance and the world will become better and more beautiful.

I will pay more attention to people around me, and when my friends are frustrated and traped in some trouble, I will encourage them and write notes to them, such as “After rain comes fair weather”. Besides, when I find people are excited in their success or some joyful things, I also will share their enjoyment and write notes to tell them.
I think nowadays, in our life, we can see plenty of sense which reflect the world is cold and unresponsive. In the bus, some young people look out the windows and pretend not to see the old people is standing besides them. When people need help, the others are accustomed to indifferent. What’s more, when a thief is stealing goods, people who find it keep silence. When a child fall in a river, none of people will save him and just look as an audience.

But there also some mistakes or someting I don"t think it very proper. I very agree with her we should show our appreciation to our parent because they give us so much love and care. And her three steps are very wonderful. Then the sense she think it cold and unresponsive I also very agree. The world become more and more indifferent, we must give more love to the world .

When I first touched with English. I knew I extremely hated it. But the reality didn't allow me to revolt it. What's more, the English became more and more important in the life. I must study and be good at it.           There are many problems in my English study. My vocabulary is very limited. On the other hand, I'm afraid of speaking, always I can't express my own ideas very well and fluent. Of course, I 'm worried about that . Then, my listening is also very poor. Usually, I can't concentrate on what the people speak. My think begin to wander. So I'm always at sea.
  Therefore, I made up my mind to take measure to improve my English. Every day, I will learn the words by hearts .And play attention on the words in my life. For example, when I watch TV or walk on the street, we can encouter many words. In this time, I can learn them by heart. Everyday, I will read some English article I hope through my efforts ,I can improve my English.

The sentence “In a word too often cold and unresponsive, such notes bring warmth and reassurance” is impressed by me. “Too often”, yes, nowadays, people are accustomed to devote their all time to accumulate the wealth.  They only know their own benefit and almost have forgot to care for others and other things. “Cold” and “unresponsive” indeed are extremely appropriate words to describe the relationship between people. To my surprise, some people can’t recognize their neighbor after living together some years later. There are always invisible fence around people.
So, in my opinion, if people can spend some time to concern others like Don. Undoubtedly, the world can become warmer and better. Writing notes, though it is a tiny action, people who are sad or frustrate can receive warmth, power and courage. They may regain confidence.

I very agree with her view. The author told us the payment let us know he feel inspiring when that time he have a little money.  And I can’t find the fault of grammar.
My opinion is the same with her. I think it can change into “ feel no confidence” is more suitable.

I'm confused about " unintentional and unconscious"
In my view, "conduct a class with" is a new phrase to me.
I'm puzzled about the "hands-on work".
there are two difficult clauses in sentence "This has a tremendous impact on...... achievement". And they are difficult for me. And I always can't understand it clearly.
What can we learn form the example "one teacher conducting a science class......away" .The author want to prove what.

In my view the question   
“‘This has a tremendous impact on the process for, in general, those students who become active classroom participants develop more positive attitudes and go on to higher achievement.’ This is a long sentence. I do not know what the meaning of it is. And also I want to know about the ues of “for” in the sentence. And I can not make the structure of the sentence clear. And why the author use the word "tremendous"?”                     
  which is written by yeden is a good question because it is very specific, yeden don’t say she can’t understand the whole sentence,  but point out the function of “for” seems puzzling. She aims at the structure.
